What we check during Spitzer trailer service

Pneumatic discharge system:

• Aeration pads – pressure test, visual inspection for porosity or blockage
• Pressure collector manifold – joint tightness
• Discharge valves – operation smoothness, 1.5 bar seal test
• Flexible hoses and Camlock fittings

Dome hatches and seals:

• EPDM or silicone seal condition (hard, cracked = replace)
• Hatch locks and hinges – lubrication
• Pressure test: 1.0 bar for 10 minutes, no drop

Safety equipment:

• Pressure relief valve – correct opening pressure (typically 2.2 bar)
• Manometer accuracy

Chassis and electrics:

• Lighting, 7-pin ISO connector

Most common Spitzer trailer faults

1. Blocked or cracked aeration pads – prevents complete discharge
2. Worn dome hatch seals – air/dust leaks
3. Corroded aluminium fittings (cement/lime transport)
4. Stuck discharge valves (dried product residue)
5. Damaged tank welds – identified by TDT NDT inspection
